The Challenge
Luxury real estate is sold on emotion and presence. Static 2D photos failed to convey the scale of Horizon's multi-million dollar penthouses to international buyers who couldn't travel for viewings.
The client needed a solution that was immersive like a video game, but accessible instantly in a web browser without any downloads or plugins.
System Architecture
Built on the React Three Fiber ecosystem.
Asset Pipeline
We modeled the properties in Blender, baking lighting and shadows into the textures. We then used Draco Compression to reduce 3D model sizes by 90%, ensuring sub-3-second load times.
WebGL Renderer
Using Three.js and custom GLSL shaders, we simulated realistic materials like marble reflections, glass refraction, and dynamic water ripples in the property's pool.
Seamless UI Overlay
We built a DOM-based interface layered over the 3D canvas. Users can click "hotspots" in the 3D world to bring up HTML details, floor plans, and booking forms instantly.
